Whether you are looking for a family holiday, wanting to celebrate a special occasion with friends or a simple getaway to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside (albeit the birdsong can sometimes be interrupted by the buzzy noise of a working farm) the Munn family would be delighted to welcome you to share a little piece of our paradise.
Booking
For bookings made more than 12 weeks away. We allow a 7 day period in which you can read and digest the Terms and Conditions and the details regarding your chosen accommodation, after the 7 days you are deemed to have accepted our terms and conditions. For stays less than 12 weeks from the date of booking, we allow a 24hr period in which you can read and digest the Terms and Conditions- after which you are deemed to have accepted our Terms and Conditions.
If you wish to make changes to your booking after these times, we may not be able to accept these changes however we will do our best to accommodate your amendments, there will be an Admin Charge of £25.
Minimum Stays
There is a 2 night minimum requirement.
Numbers
The accommodation can each take the maximum number of people stated at the point of booking on the information pages. No parties or guests exceeding the maximum number can be accommodated. This is due to fire and safety reasons.
We are unable to take bookings for stag parties, hen parties, larger groups or student groups. If after arrival it is clear you are part of a larger group, your booking will be terminated, you will be asked to leave with no refund.
Deposit
A booking will only be confirmed when we receive a deposit equal to the first night’s stay. The deposit is due at time of booking. If we do not receive payment after 24hrs your dates will be released, and your provisional booking will be cancelled.
The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your arrival date.
If you book within 7 days, we require the full balance to confirm your booking.
Cancellation
If cancelled more than 2 weeks prior to your stay a full refund will be issued.
If cancelled 14 days or less from your stay 50% of booking cost will be retained.
In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.
Change of Date
Where possible, we may try to help you change the date of your booking if you can no longer make it, however this is entirely at the management discretion and if they cannot make a change, then the standard cancellation policy will apply. All date changes must be requested more than 12 weeks in advance of the original booking, otherwise standard cancellation policy will apply.
Incomplete Payment
The remaining Balance is due 28 days prior to the start date of your stay, we will continue to send you reminder emails at appropriate intervals. If, within 14 days, the remaining balance is still outstanding, The Cuddies will be entitled to rescind the agreement, retain any deposit and claim against you for losses incurred. Your dates will be released for sale.
Arrival and Departure
You have access to your pod from 3 pm and 8pm on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, you must vacate the pod by 10 am. Please discuss any later than 8pm arrivals in advance of booking.
On departure, please clean your pod, and leave it tidy
Late Checkouts
Are available only if pre-arranged with management prior to your stay and only if booking availability allows. Late check out is by 12pm and an additional charge of £30.
Due to changeover and additional cleaning times we ask guest to leave by the checkout time to allow staff to change over accommodation for the next guests coming in- we hope that you understand.
Liability
The Cuddies accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of property, vehicles or vehicle contents belonging to guests during their stay or time at West Auchencarroch Farm.
What’s Included:
The price of your Accommodation includes electricity, heating, bed linen, towels, dish towel, supplies for cleaning – kitchen/bathroom.
Children
Children are welcome; however, we do not supply cots or highchairs.
Farms are wonderful places to play and explore but we ask that children and babies must be supervised at all times. There must be a responsible adult capable of looking after children and babies present throughout the entire hire period.
Please remember that we are a working sheep and Cattle farm and we may have farm vehicles or livestock moving around the farm.
The Cuddies staff cannot take any responsibility for the care of minors, or for the recommendation of appropriate care givers.
Visiting Guests
Our guest may have visitors to the property to drop by and visit with. The number of people in the pods must not exceed the Max number of people to this unit (six). This is due to fire safety.
Visitors must not sleep over unless they are booked in at time of booking.
Quiet Policy
We have a 10pm quiet time set at the properties. Any loud noises, music etc after this time will not be tolerated and may result in you being asked to leave without a refund.
Pets
Pets are not welcome at The Cuddies due to us being situated on a working farm, with surrounding fields usually full of livestock.
Hot Tubs
For properties with Hots tubs, guests agree to comply with Hot Tub Safety rules which will be sent out in your welcome information prior to your stay. If you wish to see this earlier, please contact The Cuddies and we can email you a copy.
We will carry out twice a day testing and we ask that guests do not use the hot tubs while we are carrying out these quick tests.
Drugs
We have a strict zero tolerance policy on drugs and any illegal substances. If any guest is found to be under the influence, the booking will be terminated without refund with immediate effect and the police will be notified.
Smoking
The Internal areas of the Accommodation are strictly non-smoking. Smoking is allowed only in open-air areas away from decked areas. All cigarette butts must be disposed of appropriately.
Fires
Pods are equipped with fire pits. It is the parents/guardian’s responsibility to ensure that young children do not place themselves in a situation whereby they can injure themselves by being vigilant of any potential incident. As with all camping holidays, parental supervision is essential, at all times. The Cuddies cannot be held liable for injuries sustained due to parents/guardians failing to supervise children around fire pits. Fire extinguishers can be found on the paths leading up to the pods.
Candles
We do not allow candles inside any of the properties.
Damage and Excess Cleaning Required
The Cuddies reserves the right to invoice for any damages caused to the Properties of West Auchencarroch Farm that has been inflicted by you during your stay. Similarly-If your accommodation is left in a poor condition resulting in additional cleaning, repair or replacement, you may be invoiced £100 for a deep cleaning fee or invoiced to cover costs for repair.
Inappropriate conduct
Anyone who is aggressive, abusive or otherwise inappropriate to staff or management at The Cuddies will be asked to leave immediately. Your booking will be cancelled without a refund, and you will be banned from returning.
Fireworks or Sky Lanterns
Fireworks or Sky Lanterns may not be set off at any time. The Cuddies is a working farm and the both Fireworks and Sky lanterns can cause physical damage and distress to our livestock.
Force Majeure
We may have to make changes for reason of Force Majeure, meaning unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond its control, the consequences of which neither our suppliers nor we could avoid. Example: industrial disputes, natural disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions, acts of God, malicious damage, flooding, acts of terrorism or similar events beyond our control. The Cuddies shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or costs, resulting from a Force Majeure event. Whilst every effort will be made to ensure the provision of the On Farm Accommodation Hired, the Company cannot be held responsible for shortcomings or conditions outside of their control.
Insurance
We strongly recommend that you take out full insurance to cover your holiday in all circumstances- from your own cancellation to Force Majeure.
Disclaimer
The Cuddies cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage arising from any misadventure associated with your stay.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with something during your stay and want to make a complaint, please talk to us during your stay. You can visit John and Doneil at the farmhouse or phone us on 07547983914. Please tell us immediately if anything is not right, ask us to come to the accommodation.
We treat all complaints seriously and will do everything we can to resolve your issue as soon as possible so you can get on with enjoying the rest of your holiday.
We don’t provide refunds or compensation for complaints made after guests have returned home, so be sure to speak to us or email us during your stay.
The guest agrees:
- to pay for any losses or damage to the property caused or allowed by the guest.
- to take good care of the property and leave it in a clean and tidy condition on departure. To follow departing guidelines detailed in welcome info. The Cuddies reserves the right to make a charge for extra cleaning or damage, if the property is not left in a satisfactory condition. Should The Cuddies be dissatisfied with the condition of the property, we may refuse to take a booking from that guest again.
- to permit The Cuddies and their agents’ reasonable access to the property
- not to part with possession of the property, or share it, except with members of the party listed when booking
- not to exceed the total number of people stipulated in the property description
- not to cause an annoyance or become a nuisance to occupants of nearby premises
- not to smoke or allow smoking in accommodation unit.
